Third Update!!! Gamepad support, Control re-mapping and a little more!

New Update!!!!

I come bearing good news my fellow brethren!

Block Out now has full gamepad support and now you can also re-map controls! I also cleaned-up some UI and fixed a bug. Here are the details:

  • Gamepad support: You can now use a gamepad to play Block Out. I don't have many gamepads so I haven't been able to fully test the system for bugs, but I did test this system thoroughly with the stuff that I had. If you guys have any problems, please let me know and I'll do my very best to fix them for you.

  • Key re-mapping: You can now re-map the controls to whatever keys you'd like. To change controls, go to Options > Controls > Keyboard ( or Gamepad if you want to change gamepad controls ) . For example, if you want to set the control for Teleport to the 'C' key on your keyboard, all you have to do is:
    • Press the button for the control you want to re-map (for this example, the button in front of "Teleport").
    • When you do, it'll say "<waiting>". Then you press the key that you want to remap it to (for this example, the 'C' key).
    • And... that's it. You'll now teleport with 'C' instead of 'Space bar'.
    • If you don't like it, you can easily reset controls to defaults.
    • It's pretty intuitive, but let me know if you have any problems.

One little detail here. I've restricted the 'Aim' control to map to only analog inputs (i.e. mouse and Left/Right stick on the gamepad).

So I have disabled it from re-mapping in the keyboard section, since it can only be mapped to the mouse here.

  • The bug: Sometimes when you start a game session,  the enemies won't spawn at all or would spawn in the wrong order. This has been fixed.

  • UI: The Mode Creation menu used to look slightly ugly, so I have made an attempt to make it look slightly not-as-ugly (Screenshots attached below, any criticism will be appreciated). Also, I have removed a lot of code clutter and optimized the UI animations a teeny tiny bit (not very noticeable though, and yes, being the masochistic fool that I am, I coded the animations instead of using Unity's built in tools, Help me! T_T AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAAHAAAA).

Also, now you can download the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the game. Just... just a little thing, for your convenience. Nevermind that, if you have any issues please let me know :)
